A. No, you do not need to be talented or have any prior experience with the arts to benefit from Expressive Art Therapy.  The goal in Expressive Art Therapy is not to create a masterpiece, but rather to allow the creative process to evoke sensations, relieve stress, and provide a greater sense of self-awareness.

Nomi received her MA in Expressive Art Therapy at Lesley University.  In her practice she uses an intermodal approach integrating imagery, visual arts, storytelling, dance, music, drama and poetry to tap into the person's subconscious imagination, and thereby examines feelings, emotions and thought processes.
